JORDAN & MEGAN

October 10, 2020 | The Lake House, Lake Metigoshe

Our Story

OUR STORY

It all started with a poke.

In December 2017, Megan received a Facebook notification that changed everything.

The notification said, "Jordan Indvik poked you."

She had no idea who Jordan Indvik was even though they shared 50 mutual friends; but she was curious about the poke from this good-looking fella (and also a little surprised that Facebook still had the poke feature), so she sent him a message inquiring about the poke.  Fast-forward about a week with hundreds of text messages and phone calls exchanged and Jordan and Megan met face-to-face for the first time on January 5, 2018.

"Some souls just understand each other upon meeting."

Both Jordan and Megan knew instantly they had met their match.  Over the next few weeks, they spent every second they could getting to know each other and learning how their life's paths had led them to where they were that day: together.  They knew this was different.  Special.  Rare.

But, with everything thus far being just between the two of them, something (three very special little somethings) was missing from the equation.  After three months, they decided it was time to introduce each other to the kids: Jackson, Emma, and Owen.

"Our children are our greatest assets, our most precious treasures, and our best creations."

The introduction of the three littles made everything they had already started building together even better!  Jackson instantly had another boy around who liked to wrestle as much as he did.  Emma turned into a Mother Hen and "cared" for Owen all day.  This included hand-feeding him snacks, which Owen thought was fantastic!  Owen went from being the only kid around to having two playmates ready and available all the time.  The three of them took to each other from the very first day like they had always known each and were meant to grow up together.

"Family is what happens when two people fall in love."

Over the next year and a half, a family of five was grown during many adventures together and many more quiet moments at home.  Then, on December 31, 2019, in the middle of one of those quiet moments at home, Jordan got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him.

She said "YES!" and the rest is the journey that awaits...

"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

We cannot wait to officially be joined together in marriage and we hope you can join us for our special day when our two families become one.

XOXO

GETTING

THERE

TRANSPORTATION

The trek up to Bottineau can be made in many different ways.

For those coming from Minot, head north on Highway 83 for a jaunt then turn right at Renville Corner and head east on Highway 5 for a stretch until you land in Bottineau.  You can't miss it.

For those coming from Minnesota, head down the road like you are driving to Minot the Grand Forks way.  Instead of going all the way to Minot, you will turn right in Rugby and roll north on Highway 3 for about 10 miles.  Turn left once you reach Highway 60 and head northwest until you meet up with Highway 5.  Turn left to head west on Highway 5 until you run right into Bottineau.

Once in Bottineau, it's just a short drive to the final destination of Lake Metigoshe!

ACCOMMODATION

The Metigoshe Quilt Inn is the recommended place to stay since it is located right across the road from The Lake House and will allow for walking back and forth, especially important for after the celebration!  We are working on negotiating rates and setting up a room block.

Stay tuned for more information.

REGISTRY

We are not registered anywhere and do not want anyone to feel they need to bring a wedding gift.  We have absolutely everything we need.  All we need is for our family and closest friends to be with us and share in our special day.

That is the ultimate gift.

WE ARE SO EXCITED

TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!
